Is this screen recorder really free and private?+
Yes. It runs entirely in your browser using the built-in screen-capture API. Your recording never leaves your device — there's no upload, no account, and no watermark.
Can I record my microphone and system audio?+
Yes. Tick “Include microphone” before you start, and choose “Share audio” in the browser's share dialog to capture system/tab sound too.
What format is the recording?+
A .webm video file, which plays in any modern browser and imports into PandaStudio and most editors. Want MP4, trimming, captions, or zoom effects? Open it in PandaStudio.
Is there a time limit?+
No hard limit — but very long recordings use more memory since everything is held locally. For long or multi-source recordings, the PandaStudio desktop app records straight to disk.
Which browsers work?+
Desktop Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. Safari's screen-capture support is limited; use Chrome or download PandaStudio.
