How it works

1

Choose your video

Pick any MP4, MOV, WebM, or MKV. It loads locally — the ffmpeg engine warms up in the background.

2

Set the range & mode

Drag the start/end handles, then choose Trim & compress (MP4) or Convert to GIF.

3

Export & download

Watch the progress bar, preview the result, and save it. Nothing is uploaded.

Need the full studio, not just a quick fix?

Frequently asked questions

Is my video uploaded anywhere?+

No. The tool runs ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly directly in your browser. Your file is processed in memory on your own machine and never sent to a server.

What can I do with it?+

Trim a clip to a start/end point and re-encode it to a smaller MP4, or convert a section to a shareable GIF. For cropping, captions, zoom, and multi-clip edits, use PandaStudio.

Why does it take a moment to start?+

The first run downloads the ffmpeg WebAssembly engine (a few MB, cached afterwards). Processing speed then depends on your device and clip length.

What's the file size limit?+

There's no fixed limit, but everything is held in browser memory, so very large or very long videos can be slow or run out of memory. For heavy files, the PandaStudio desktop app uses native ffmpeg with no memory ceiling.

What formats are supported?+

Most common inputs (MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV). Output is H.264 MP4 or GIF.
