Export a PandaStudio edit to Premiere, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut

PandaStudio saves the edit as an XML timeline on your original files, so you can keep editing the same cuts in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut.

The timeline export writes a Final Cut Pro 7 XML file, the format Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut all import, plus an SRT of the words left after your cuts. It carries every cut across all your clips, speed changes, the camera recording on its own track, B-roll and image overlays at the same moments, the voice (the enhanced file when you used Enhance voice) and your music and sound effects, at the project's frame rate and aspect ratio. It points at your original media, nothing is re-rendered. Things only PandaStudio draws stay behind: zooms, styled captions, motion graphics, layouts, the colour grade and freeze frames. Export those parts as a video from PandaStudio if you need them in the other editor. Needs PandaStudio 2.1.47 or later.

In the app

  1. 1Click Export in the top right of the editor.
  2. 2Click Timeline for Premiere / Resolve at the bottom left of the dialog.
  3. 3Choose where to save the .xml (the .srt is saved next to it).
  4. 4In Premiere Pro, use File > Import and pick the .xml. In DaVinci Resolve, use File > Import > Timeline. Relink any media the editor can't find.

Ask the AI

Open the AI chat in the editor and say any of these. The agent does the edits for you.

“Send this edit to Premiere so I can keep working on it.”
“Give me an XML timeline for DaVinci Resolve.”
