Get around Home in PandaStudio

PandaStudio 2.1.47 and later opens on a Home with three parts: a sidebar to every place in the app, one box where every video starts, and below it the work you left unfinished and the proven edits you can start from.

The sidebar on the left holds your workspace (click it to switch or manage workspaces), Home, Projects (with how many you have), Podcasts, Clips, Recipes and Exports, and at the bottom Scheduled and Settings. Daylight or Dark is in Settings, under Appearance. In the middle, What do you want to make today? is one box for everything: type what you want and press Enter (Shift+Enter adds a line) to hand it to the AI as a new chat, or drop footage or files on the box to attach them to the message. Its toolbar starts the other ways in directly: + for Upload file (a video or audio file, or one file per speaker for a podcast), From URL and Import package (and to attach files to your message), Record for the screen and camera recorder, Podcast for the podcast studio, and Make clips to turn a long video into Shorts. Paste a video link in the box and PandaStudio offers Import and edit, and for a YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or X video, Copy its style. Under the box is a Try row with three ideas, such as Shorts from my last video, What should I film next? and Weekly ideas report. Pick up where you left off shows up to three unfinished things: projects you haven't exported, a style you started copying, your last chat with the assistant and your next podcast episode (or Schedule, if nothing is planned). It hides when there is nothing to pick up, and All projects opens the full list. Start from a proven edit is the recipe grid, with Shorts and Long-form tabs and a search: Copy a style is its first tile, and every other card is a ready edit style you run on your footage. Scheduled lists your planned podcast episodes and the routines your assistant runs on its own.

In the app

  1. 1Use the sidebar to move around: Home, Projects, Podcasts, Clips, Recipes, Exports, Scheduled and Settings. Click your workspace's name at the top to switch workspaces.
  2. 2To start a video, type what you want in What do you want to make today? and press Enter, or use the box's toolbar: + (Upload file, From URL, Import package), Record, Podcast or Make clips.
  3. 3To carry on with something, click its card under Pick up where you left off.
  4. 4To start from a style, pick a card under Start from a proven edit (Shorts or Long-form), or click Copy a style to paste a link or upload a video whose edit you like.
  5. 5To switch between Daylight and Dark, open Settings in the sidebar and choose Appearance.

Ask the AI

Open the AI chat in the editor and say any of these. The agent does the edits for you.

“Open my last project.”
“Turn my last video into 3 Shorts.”
“Switch to my Client work workspace.”

CLI & MCP

Every capability is a verb, reachable from the terminal or from an MCP agent (Claude Code, Cursor, Cline, Continue, Claude Desktop).
